Depilatory Wax Ambre et Lumière

This wax, made from organic sugar and lemon, is ideal for waxing legs, arms, underarms, bikini line, upper lip, cheeks and chin. Its creamy texture is applied in very thin layers to remove hair and leave skin feeling soft for up to 4 weeks. Rinses off easily with water.

The complete pack contains a 250g jar of wax, 12 strips and a wooden spatula. This jar is suitable for 3 half-leg waxings.

Instructions for use:
1. Remove the lid and cup;
2. Heat the wax: not too hot so as not to burn yourself.
a) Heat in the microwave: place the jar of wax without the lid and cup on a plate. Place it in the microwave. Heat in 10-second increments until you obtain a liquid honey texture. Stir with a spatula to homogenise the wax; or
b) Heat the wax in a bain-marie: place the jar of wax without the lid or cup in a pan of cold water and heat the water until it comes to a gentle boil. It's important that the water doesn't come into contact with the wax, as this would render it ineffective.
Lower the heat to minimum and leave the wax to melt for around 20 minutes. Stir with a spatula to homogenise the wax. Remove the pot of wax from the water bath.
3. Test the temperature of the wax on the inside of the wrist before use;
4. Apply some cornflour or talcum powder to the area to be waxed;
5. Remove a dab of wax using the wooden spatula. Spread a very thin, strip-sized layer of wax over the area to be waxed. Apply the wax in the direction of hair growth, keeping the spatula perpendicular. Apply the strip to the wax, smoothing firmly in the direction of hair growth. With one hand, pull the skin taut and with the other, remove the strip in a brisk movement against the direction of hair growth. The strip can be reused several times until the wax no longer sticks to it;
6. Rinse off any wax residue with water. For greater comfort after waxing, apply Aloe vera gel to the skin.

Rinse the spatula with warm water and dry it for the next use. Using a damp cloth, remove any excess wax from the sides of the pot. It is important that the water does not come into contact with the wax as this would render it ineffective. Close the jar with the cup and lid.
